Our mission
Help people and organizations inspect the evidence behind important claims, compare results and revisit decisions when facts change. The SDK provides portable records for sources, interpretations, forecasts and corrections, so applications can show their work.
The neutral comuvia library supports that shared evidence layer. The optional foreglass library reads supported ForeGlass artifacts; its developer guide lives with ForeGlass. Start with evidence and data quality for a plain-language explanation, or the quickstart for an offline example.
Available now
Current state — public alpha 0.1.0, published 2026-10-01; reference reviewed September 29, 2026. The comuvia Python library validates records, gives each one a canonical content identity (a fingerprint that changes if a single byte changes), stores records append-only, and re-computes the score of a yes/no forecast from the stored records so anyone can reproduce it. The optional foreglass package reads a supported, allowlisted set of public ForeGlass artifacts and preserves source snapshots.
Useful building blocks include source evidence, claims, questions, forecasts, outcomes and evaluations. Applications can retain previous records when appending corrections. Reproducible binary Brier scoring requires the specified question, probability and outcome inputs; missing evidence and ineligible records stay explicit.
Content identity is an integrity check against an expected digest. It does not establish truth, authorship or an independently witnessed publication time. Applications still own source rights, evidence quality and editorial or decision policy.
Proposed applications
Proposed — separate from the implemented library. Source-linked media briefs, civic statement-to-outcome tracking and reusable domain evidence profiles are being explored. Comuvia News is testing source-linked video records, with page visibility and editorial review tracked separately. Explore the News approach.
These proposals do not mean a hosted registry, public scoring service, automated truth rating or civic adapter is available. The SDK itself does not produce economic forecasts or provide a hosted API or MCP service.
Release and access
The public-facing reference documentation, schemas and synthetic examples are on this site. Both packages are on PyPI: pip install comuvia for the core and pip install foreglass for the reader. Source and the release tag v0.1.0 are at github.com/comuvia/comuvia-sdk under the Apache License 2.0. Check versions and support for the approved file digests; the example downloads do not include package wheels.
For integration questions, use Comuvia contact. Report documentation or SDK issues on GitHub issues, including the version and a small reproducible example without credentials or private data; report security problems privately as the repository's SECURITY.md describes. No response-time commitment is implied.
